Description

TSI is now hiring an Associate Director to join our growing Insights and Strategy team.

This is a senior role at TSI responsible for driving project execution across all levels, as well as contributing to building and driving growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leadership and development of all aspects relating to daily delivery within the Insights and Strategy team
  • Leading the team through designing, executing, and presenting analytic and strategy studies to meet our clients’ research and brand strategy objectives
  • Take the lead role in steering projects, assessing and creating new opportunities along the delivery of the project, while ensuring projects are delivered on time and to standard
  • Oversee projects, allocate and organize resources, supervise project execution
  • Supervise or take charge of proposals, attending pitch meetings, and presentation meetings
  • Play a lead role in embedding new insight tools across the organisation and across our client roster
  • Achieve set revenue goals while ensuring cost maintenance across all aspects of project execution
  • Management of direct reports, including identification of talent, onboarding, retention, and training
  • Train and upskill TSI team members as needed, including mentoring and teaching your team about your area of specialisation
  • Contribute to culture and ensure TSI is a place people want to work
  • Develop and contribute to TSI thought leadership propositions and content to use as part of marketing activity
  • Help to raise our company profile through LinkedIn, social media accounts, and events/mixer opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 6+ years’ experience within a market research/insights agency, brand consultancy, in-house insights/research team, or similar, with at least 2 years in China
  • Must have extensive experience in primary quantitative research. Experience in qualitative research will be considered, but quantitative experience is a must.
  • Proven client management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin and capable of managing English-speaking clients
  • Operates with the highest standards of technical competence in respective areas at all times
  • Self-led, always organized, ahead of your own calendar and to-do list
  • Knowledge and experience of the Chinese consumer, with experience in food and beverage sector ideal
